My Process
I believe that creating a successful podcast goes beyond recording and editing—it's a strategic asset for relationship building. Here's how I approach every project:
1. Discovery & Strategy
We start with a conversation to understand your business, values, and goals. Together, we define the purpose of your podcast, potential guests, target audience, and the messaging that will resonate. This phase lays the foundation for everything that follows.
2. Planning & Pre-Production
With a solid strategy in place, we focus on developing the assets needed to launch the podcast. These include, but are not limited to, the podcast graphic, intro/outro/midroll, podcast description, preparation for four initial episodes, and promotional content. I handle the selection of voiceover artists and music curation, ensuring everything aligns with your brand’s tone. Additionally, I coordinate with the initial guests and ensure you feel comfortable with the technical side of remote recording.
3. Recording & Editing
Once we’re ready, we move into production. Whether you’re recording interviews, solo episodes, or a mix, I handle all the technical aspects, ensuring a smooth recording experience. Afterward, I edit for clarity, cutting out unnecessary pauses, filler words, and any repeated takes. I also add sound design and music to enhance audio quality and engagement.
4. Final Review & Refinement
Once the assets are created and the initial four episodes are edited, I send them to you for review. We’ll go through the content together to ensure it aligns with your vision. Any necessary tweaks will be made before finalizing the episodes and preparing for the official launch.
5. Launch & Promotion
After final approval, I assist with uploading and distributing your podcast to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other podcast directories. I also distribute promotional assets, such as audiograms and social media posts, to build anticipation and engagement with your audience.
6. Ongoing Full-Service Production
I provide ongoing podcast production, managing every aspect of developing and producing future episodes. This includes coordinating with guests, creating episode outlines, editing podcast episodes, handling sound design and music, developing promotional assets, writing show notes, distributing episodes and promotional content, and updating graphics. With my full-service approach, all you have to do is show up for the recording and have a conversation.
7. Hand-Off (Optional)
If you have an internal team member or hire someone to manage the ongoing production, I can provide a smooth hand-off. I’ll ensure they have everything they need to continue producing high-quality episodes, including templates, guidelines, and any necessary training to maintain consistency.
